    About Us

    We are a boutique software company based in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. We were incorporated in 2005 in an effort to put our computer security and encryption knowledge to good use.

    We started out as Gargoyle Encryption, but eventually discovered that this name was being used in the United States by another company. Being Canadian, we are not prone to litigation. So, we wished that company good luck and chose to use “APO” which is an acronym for Authorized Personnel Only.

    For the past fourteen years, we have been crafting software that is secure enough for military use, but easy to use for civilians.

    We strive to be good corporate citizens. As such, we volunteer our time in our community and supply software free of charge for groups that work to make a positive difference in the world. If you work for such a group, send us an email telling us about your group and we will happily get you set up with some great software.

    All our software is gluten free and environmentally friendly.
